Self-Adhesive Silver Mirror Film – for Exterior Installation

This self-adhesive silver mirror film is applied to the outside of the window, reflecting most of the solar radiation before it reaches the glass. The pronounced mirror effect provides reliable privacy during the day and gives the facade a modern appearance. The film is suitable for all common glazing types – including roof windows and angled glazing.

Mirror Effect and Privacy

The mirror film creates a pronounced one-way mirror effect: from outside, only the reflection of the surroundings is visible, while the view from inside remains clear – though slightly tinted.

Important: The mirror effect always works on the side with the stronger light. During the day, the film mirrors outward and provides privacy. In darkness with interior lights on, the effect reverses – the illuminated interior then becomes visible from outside.

Why Exterior Installation?

With exterior installation, solar radiation is reflected before it passes through the glass. This is the most effective method of heat reduction, as the heat never enters the glazing in the first place. That is why this film achieves 82 % solar energy rejection – a higher value than the interior installation variant.

Compatible Glazing Types

The mirror film is suitable for all common glazing types:

• Single glazing
• Double glazing
• Low-E glazing
• Tinted single glazing
• Tinted double glazing
• Laminated safety glass (VSG)

Installation on roof windows and angled glazing is also possible.

Installation

The film is applied from the outside onto the cleaned glass surface using water and the included installation kit. Partial coverage is not possible with this film – the film must cover the entire glass surface.

Warranty

4 years when applied to vertical surfaces, 2 years when applied to angled surfaces (e.g. roof windows).
