Frosted glass offers a solution for this: due to its particular texture, it refracts daylight and only allows the human eye to perceive things to a limited extent. Replacing regular window panes with frosted glass, however, is rather expensive and time-consuming. Disturbing glare effects are reduced, while fading of furniture and home textiles is reduced. The use of weather-resistant frosted glass film for outdoor areas is recommended if glass roofs or balconies have glass fronts.

Beyond that a frosted glass film can be used as an aesthetic decorative element. For instance, it is possible to cover windows only partially. Film stripes, for example, in various widths are often used as a visual way of varying the appearance of glass doors and windows in conference rooms or offices while at the same time providing privacy. Furniture glazing on showcases, glass counters or glass tables can also be redesigned or optically enhanced with frosted glass film. Creative ideas are almost limitless here. Nearly every flat glass surface can be completely or partially covered with frosted glass film.

If you have some experience with window films or would like to glue very large glass surfaces, then films by the meter are your best choice. They are attached like wallpapers in sheets. Adjustment of the frosted glass film takes place by cutting directly at the pane.
