Self-Adhesive Sun Protection Film Silver Dark – for Interior Installation

This self-adhesive sun protection film in Silver Dark is applied to the interior side of single glazing and provides the strongest heat rejection in the silver interior series. The film rejects 80 % of solar energy and reduces glare by 83 %. The silver mirror effect ensures reliable daytime privacy from outside.

Mirror Effect and Privacy

The silver coating produces a pronounced one-way mirror effect during daylight: from outside, only the reflection of the surroundings is visible, while from inside the view out is preserved – though noticeably tinted. The facade gains a modern, uniform appearance.

Important: The mirror effect always works on the side with the stronger light. During the day, the film mirrors outwards and provides privacy. At night with interior lights on, the effect reverses – the illuminated interior becomes visible from outside.

Suitable Glazing Types

This film is intended exclusively for interior installation on flat single glazing. The dark tint absorbs a large amount of solar energy – with double or triple glazing, heat can build up between the panes, leading to thermal stress.

Not suitable for double glazing, low-E glass, tinted glazing or laminated glass.

Installation

The film is applied from the inside onto the cleaned glass surface using water and the included mounting kit. Partial installation is not possible with this film – the film must cover the entire glass surface.

10 years against discolouration or peeling when applied to vertical surfaces.
