UV and Heat Protection in One Film
Unlike purely clear UV protection films, the Blue Vision offers an additional heat protection effect. The film absorbs and reflects a significant proportion of solar radiation before it enters the building. This keeps interiors noticeably cooler on hot days, improving comfort and reducing energy costs for air conditioning.
Typical applications:
- Offices with large window fronts – heat protection in the workplace
- Studios & exhibition rooms – UV protection for artwork with a comfortable room climate
- South-facing living rooms – noticeably cooler rooms without blinds
Looking for a clear UV protection film without heat protection? We recommend the clear colourless UV protection film for interior.
Suitable Glazing Types
This film is suitable for exterior mounting on the following glass types:
- Single glazing – yes
- Tinted single glazing – yes
- Insulating glazing (double glazing) – with restrictions, consultation recommended
- Low-E glass – with restrictions, consultation recommended
- Tinted low-E glass – with restrictions, consultation recommended
- Laminated glass / safety glass – yes
Note: With low-E glass and tinted insulating glass, exterior mounting may cause thermal stress in the glass. We recommend consulting us before ordering in these cases.
Installation
The film is applied from the outside onto clean, smooth glass. The glass surface must be thoroughly cleaned before installation, as exterior surfaces are more heavily soiled than interior surfaces. Instructions and an installation kit are included.
Warranty
3-year manufacturer's warranty when applied to horizontal surfaces, 5 years when applied to vertical surfaces. The shorter warranty compared to interior films is due to the greater weather exposure outdoors.
