This self-adhesive sun protection film in Copper Dark combines effective heat protection with a warm, copper-coloured appearance. With 20 % light transmission, it noticeably darkens the room while rejecting 77 % of solar energy. The copper-coloured mirror effect gives the facade an elegant appearance and provides daytime privacy.

Mirror Effect and Privacy
The copper-coloured coating creates a warm, metallic mirror effect on the exterior side of the window. From outside, you see the copper-coloured reflection of the surroundings, while from inside the view outward is maintained – albeit slightly tinted.
Important: The mirror effect always works on the side with the stronger light. During the day, the film mirrors outward and provides privacy. In darkness with interior lighting switched on, the effect reverses.
Suitable Glazing Types
This film is primarily intended for interior installation on single glazing. It is also suitable with limitations for:
- Single glazing – yes
Not suitable for low-E glass, tinted double glazing and laminated glass.
For double glazing or other glass types, we recommend the Sun Protection Film Copper Dark for Exterior Installation, which is suitable for a wider range of glazing types.
Installation
The film is applied from the inside onto the cleaned glass surface using water and the included mounting kit. Partial installation is not possible with this film – it must cover the entire glass surface.
Durability
Expected durability as stated by the film manufacturer: up to 10 years when applied to vertical surfaces, in terms of discolouration and peeling of the film. Actual durability depends on location, wear and care. This is not a guarantee. Your statutory rights are not affected.

- Do not apply interior films to insulating glass or thermal insulation glass. There is a risk of thermal glass breakage. Check the type of glass before installation and ask us if you are unsure.
- Keep film, backing paper and packaging away from babies and small children. If they cover the airways, there is a risk of suffocation.
- Cutting the film involves utility knives and sharp blades. There is a risk of injury, keep tools out of the reach of children.
- Installing film on exterior surfaces or at height involves a risk of falling. Work from a secure footing or hire a specialist company. For roof windows we generally recommend installation by a specialist company.
