Why Static Film?
Static films adhere through adhesion forces directly to the glass – entirely without adhesive. The advantages compared to self-adhesive frosted glass films:
- Residue-free removal – no adhesive, no residue on the glass
- Reusable – remove, clean and reapply the film
- Seasonal use – flexibly install and remove as needed
- Repositionable – easy to adjust during installation
Applications
Frosted glass film is used wherever privacy is needed without sacrificing daylight:
- Bathroom & shower – privacy for windows facing the street
- Office & conference room – privacy for glass partitions
- Medical practice & waiting room – discretion in reception and treatment areas
- Hallway & entrance – privacy on front doors or sidelights
- Furniture & display cabinets – as a design element on glass doors and shelves
Thanks to the static adhesion, this film is particularly suited for rooms where the film is not needed permanently – such as rental properties, holiday homes or temporary installations.
Suitable Glazing Types
This frosted glass film can be installed on all common glass types. Since the matte surface absorbs very little solar radiation, there is no risk of thermal stress – even with multi-pane glazing.
Installation
The film is applied from the inside to the cleaned glass surface using water and the included mounting kit. As there is no adhesive, the film can be easily repositioned during installation. Partial installation is also possible with this film – for example as a privacy strip on glass doors.
