One of the most important tools for a perfect film application is our application fluid. It's not an adhesive, yet it is necessary for the wet application of the window films. It should be mixed with water in a conventional spray bottle to ensure that the window can be covered easily in large areas. Please note our specifications regarding the correct mixing ratio between water and installation fluid. It is this ratio that determines how easily the film can be moved and readjusted during installation and how quickly the adhesive layer of the window film bonds with the glass surface.
Thorough cleaning of the panes is a priority before the actual installation of the film. After a rough pre-cleaning with water and a sponge even the smallest soiling must be removed, because even minimal dust particles could impair the results of the installation. Our glass scraper tools can also remove tiny dirt from the surface, so that a complete removal of dirt can now be guaranteed. It is mandatory that the window has been perfectly cleaned, as otherwise dirt may be visible under the film and wrinkles and bubbles may form.
For the actual application and fixing of window films, a so-called squeegee is required. This tool is also used to squeeze out the residual water. At the same time these special tools prevent a damage of the film, which happens by wrong handling and the use of unsuitable utensils. Pointy tools can quickly scratch the films, in the worst case the whole film has to be replaced.
